
This training course is for Fellows of ILEX must attend if they want to obtain extended rights of audience in criminal proceedings.
Successful candidates will obtain the Criminal Proceedings Certificate and be entitled to use the designation 'Legal Executive Advocate'.
The course comprises six days of interactive face-to-face tuition in a small group, using case studies and practical exercises. The sixth day involves an advocacy assessment and a short written test in the law of evidence. Before attending the course, Fellows (and members studying to become a Fellow) must obtain a Certificate of Eligibility from ILEX.
