This course is designed for both qualified and trainee lawyers. It will bring them up to date with, and give them a chance to discuss, some of the most recent changes and proposed changes in family law.

The course comprises elements of tutor–led learning, discussion and group work.

• Parental responsibility and latest cases in private and public law.
Changes in the Allocation and Transfer of cases between the tiers of family court
• Cohabitation Law and Practice 
• Financial Orders (Previously known as Ancillary relief) – The latest cases
Domestic Abuse- Update
• The Forced Marriage (Civil Protection) Act 2007
• Impact of the Family Procedure Rules 2010 and changes ahead
