altior, a leading UK legal training provider, has extended its range of courses by becoming accredited by the Law Society to offer the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test (QLTT), the conversion test that enables lawyers from other jurisdictions and UK barristers to qualify as solicitors in England and Wales.

The QLTT will be offered initially in London and Cardiff but further venues are likely to be added later, including some overseas. altior will aim to capitalise on the QLTT’s increasing popularity by offering not only the QLTT assessments themselves but also distance learning materials and revision days to help candidates prepare thoroughly for the test.

“As a long standing Law Society accredited provider of the Professional Skills Course, which is mandatory for all trainee solicitors, we are now proud to have become accredited to offer the QLTT, which forms part of an alternative route to qualification as a solicitor. In addition to the test itself, we will look to offer a unique package of high quality and affordable preparatory training,” said altior’s Chief Executive, Mark Loosemore.

altior is a leading specialist legal training, recruitment and consulting firm, providing training for thousands of legal professionals every year at venues across the UK and overseas.
