We are seeking a bright and commercially-minded lawyer with experience of, or an interest in, training. You will manage the quality, content and delivery of all of our training and assessment programmes.

Reporting to the Head of Kaplan Altior, you will head up, and line-manage, our team of employed trainers; as well as manage relations with all of our freelancers, plus trainers and assessors from other Kaplan businesses.

You will have a key quality assurance role, and will help develop both existing and new programmes. On a day to day basis, you will also work closely with other managers across the business on a range of operational, customer service, business development and marketing matters.

Detailed Roles and Responsibilities
•Full or part-time role considered (minimum of 3 days a week from 9 until 5.30)
•Quality assurance of all of our training and assessment programmes
•Approximately 50 days of training/assessment per annum (or the pro-rata equivalent for a part-time candidate)
•Line management of employed trainers
•Managing relations with freelance and other external trainers and assessors
•Managing development spend and activity for existing programmes
•Contributing to new product development activities
•Programme Director and Assessment Board responsibilities to be agreed
•Liaising with other managers and staff over various day to day operational matters.
•Contributing to tender documentation and pitches as required
•Liaising with regulatory bodies as required

The individual:
•Qualified Lawyer
•Previous training experience, or a proven interest in this field
•Previous experience of course design and/or product, or other, development activities
•Commercially-minded with some financial literacy and an ability to manage a small budget
•Previous people management experience
•Self-starter and strong team-player, with good project management skills
•Knowledge of the legal education marketplace
•Excellent research skills
•Excellent attention to detail
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
